It's imperative to note that loading should occur within the allocated and specified time.
This is due to there being additional charges for extra loading or offloading time. If there is any uncertainty, use a 3 hour loading time for a 20ft container as a guideline. Use 4 hours as a guideline for a 40ft container.
Depending on the option selected, one must ensure that the consignment is securely packed. The options are either a flatbed (open) truck or a closed body truck. The packing should either be palletised or crated cargo. Crating can be arranged at an additional cost including the correct time allocation having been taken into account. The sender's on-site loading equipment and the loading area/facility should be suitable for the selected truck. This is to avoid any possible delays which could occur. The nature of the consignment or the actual product will dictate the choice of vehicle which will be used.
A forklift should be on site and the requisite labour should be accounted for timeously. With prior arrangement, Freight Innovations can organise labour at an additional cost. In the event that special rigging equipment is required, the delivery/collection has to be scheduled taking cognisance thereof. The Call Centre has to be made aware of any arrangements in order for the correct scheduling to occur.
