30 Day Account

This option is best suited for customers with consistently high and regular shipping requirements, both international and/ or domestic. You get your own online customer profile and access to our support teams. You get to negotiate lower rates with us, specific to your business, based on the quantity of shipments you manage in a month. You get to control how often we invoice you (daily/ weekly/ monthly), and you have the flexibility of a 30 day window to settle payments. The first step is to complete a credit application. Please send an email to accounts@freight-innovations.co.za telling us you’d like to start the 30 day account opening process. Someone will get back to you within one business day.

 

Once the vetting process is complete you will be loaded onto our systems and potential rate negotiations can take place. This usually takes between 3 and 4 days. This will be followed by a training period where we will set up your online customer profile and make sure you know how to operate the (very simple) shipping software. Note that one credit application gives you access to both international and domestic online portals if you want them even though most customers only want one or the other.

    • Domestic: this is the Parcel Perfect customer portal.  It allows you to do your own quotes, book collections, process and print waybills for distribution, access live tracking, view PODs online and set up customised sms and email notifications.
    • International: this is the Netcourier customer portal which is specially integrated with Fedex.  This integration means that you benefit from the competitive rates we get with Fedex through consolidation and bulk buying.  This portal gives you full control over all your quotes, bookings, tracking and reporting.
  • Access to our Customer Support Team.
    • Domestic: the operations team are available to assist you throughout a shipment life cycle from assistance with special quotes to tracking of consignments and software support.
    • International: whereas you will be doing your own FedEx transactions using the online portal, our international team are there to assist you with any and all quotes for larger air, road and sea freight shipments to ensure you are always getting the best deal.

Prepaid Account

This option is best suited for customers with a relatively low monthly spend and/or the quantity of shipments varies from month to month. As the name suggests, this account allows you to load credit onto your customer profile which is drawn on with each shipment. There is no credit application in this case, but you still get your own online customer profile and access to our support teams for both domestic and international services. You also enjoy lower rates than cash clients in most cases. Note that customers requiring both domestic and international prepaid accounts will set up two separate prepaid profiles, not one.

 

Once your prepaid profile is set up, we will take you through a short training period to make sure you know how to operate the (very simple) shipping software.

*A note on international prepaid accounts: The prepaid option is only available for express international courier via FedEx and not for large air and sea shipping via the Help desk.

FAQs

No, you don’t need an account with us to be able to use our services; however cash clients are required to use or COD portal to get a quote, pay, and send their package.

There are several ways that you can book your collection depending on whether you have an account or not. Account-holders can either email or book online via the portal; whereas cash clients who do not have an account number will need to use our cash portal and book via the online system only.

Freight Innovations air freights to all major centers in South Africa, regional and remote areas will take an additional transit day.

This is dependent on the service and destination, contact the call center for advice. Overnight road freight is an option for large items between Cape Town and Johannesburg. Ensure that the airlines will accept your shipment and that it is not hazardous.
